Setting

Dunwigons is a demo version of a visual novel created by a single person using neural networks. The setting is a fantasy world filled with adventures, atmosphere, and complex choices that impact not only the main character's life but also the fate of the entire world.

The main character is an ordinary guy whose life follows a monotonous and dull routine. But everything changes when he suddenly finds himself in a new world, full of magic and wonder. Here, he discovers that he is not just an ordinary person but a Worldwalker, endowed with the ability to travel between worlds and beyond. The hero immediately finds himself at the heart of a turbulent conflict between orcs and the Order of the Pledge. Now, you must choose a side and immerse yourself in this thrilling adventure. In the end, you will have to decide whether to return home or stay in this world forever.

The game features engaging dialogues, puzzles, and important choices that shape the storyline and its outcome. Immerse yourself in the magic and adventure of this world, explore its wonders, and interact with its inhabitants.

Who am I?

I am a dreamer from Ukraine. Please don’t be too harsh, as I am new to this industry and this is my first project. I am having an incredible amount of fun creating this visual novel. I decided to try my hand at game development, starting with its simplest genre. Since I can't draw, code, or model, but consider my storytelling skills to be my strongest asset, I chose to use neural networks. They helped me create visuals, unique melodies, and sounds for the novel, and even assisted in editing the script in some places.

Which neural networks did I use?

  • ChatGPT: For creating the script, generating ideas, and translation.
  • Midjourney: For creating backgrounds and characters (had to spend 10 dollars).
  • Suno: For creating music and atmosphere.

Why am I doing this?

I understand that I might abandon this project, but I am very hopeful for your support. If even a few people support me, encourage me to release the continuation, or simply engage in discussions about my visual novel, I will be able to complete it. Your feedback and involvement will help me make the game even better and more interesting.

Future of the Project

I’m not setting my expectations sky-high, since this is my first project. I’d simply like to hear your thoughts. If I receive enough support, I’ll be able to finish the story. Ideally, I’d love to get incredible feedback, launch the project on Kickstarter, raise funds for artists, and add stunning backgrounds and animations to the novel. But right now, that feels almost out of reach for me.
